EAVIS FAMILY RAISE FUNDS WITH A GARDEN FÊTE

Our thanks to Fran and Joe Eavis and their family and friends in Somerset. The Eavis' whose son, Alex is affected by MLD, recently held a fundraising fete in the back garden and raised about 700 pounds towards the upcoming MLD trials.

It is the great efforts of all our families, such as the Eavis's that help us to help so many others. MILEATHON KIDS TRIUMPH

Pictured here are all the families that have turned out for the first ever Mile-athon hosted by Bodycheck in Glossop, Derbyshire on 3 Sept. Our thanks to Glenn, Daphne, Paddy, Julie and all those who volunteered from the Bodycheck Gym in Glossop. The mile-athon was open to kids 14 and under (accompanied by their parents) to run the mile around Manor Park in Glossop to help raise funds for The Myelin Project and Willow Hospice. As you can see, a great time was had by all, including the warmup led by Cherie. 'Jake C.' ran across the line in first place, but everyone was a winner in this race. Fantastic goodie bags were given to all who participated and each runner got a collectors medal to keep to remind them of their great efforts.

Bodycheck Gym in Glossop have been great contributors to The Myelin Project and once again, we give our deepest gratitude for all their efforts. If you are in the Glossopdale area, please check out what benefits you can from what Bodycheck has to offer.

A reminder that we are looking for some runners to participate in the London Marathon on 22 Apr 2007.

MOTORCYCLES 4 MYELIN - NOW M4M FAMILY FUN DAY
29th of July 2006 - 11.00am - 7.00pm at Old Trafford Stadium Grounds (home of Man. Utd FC)

Building on the success of last year's event (we raised over £11,000!) We expanded this year's event to include more enticing displays, including vintage cars, stunt riders and fabulous bands while the kids play edon the inflatable Pirate Galleon. The Manchester Fire Department brought one of their engines for display as well as showing in-action demos of car/bike crash rescue and in the home fire safety. The bike show and bands were also popular.
